Leveraging Your PR Experience in a Tough Economy

Portland, ME— The Maine Public Relations Council (MPRC), a non-profit professional association committed to its member’s professional growth, will hold a Professional Development seminar on Friday, February 27th at the Holiday Inn West in Portland from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Whether out of choice or necessity, changing careers presents significant personal and professional challenges. In this special educational session, attendees will learn how to leverage their public relations experience during difficult economic times. The event includes a continental breakfast and presentations from:

  • Jessica Smart Feinstein, senior consultant at Pemberton Swift, Inc., a national search firm with a New England client base- www.pembertonswift.com
  • Maureen Duggan, moderator, PR professional and MPRC member

“With Maine’s unemployment at a 16-year record high at 7 percent, it’s important to address an issue so many Mainers are faced with,” says Tami Kennedy, President of Maine Public Relations Council. “During Friday’s event, a panel of experts will answer questions and provide important information on career counseling and leveraging professional experience.”

Through MPRC’s monthly events and online resources, members continue education while strengthening skills and developing new relationships with Maine professionals.
