Maine Public Relations Council Annual Conference Speakers Address Ethics in Media and Getting Local Stories National Publicity

The Maine Public Relations Council (MPRC) will hold its annual conference on Friday, October 7, 2005 at the Eastland Park Hotel in Portland. - 10/26/2005

The full-day conference will feature the keynote speaker Dr. Thomas Cooper, professor of visual and media arts at Emerson College in Boston. His speech, ?Ethical Questions in Communications: TV, Journalism, and Advertising? will address the ethical questions regarding media and communication, and how recent media scandals have shaped the public?s perception of the truth. An afternoon address by Michael Smart, president of Utah-based Michael Smart PR, and public relations professor at Brigham Young University, will feature the topic ?How to Get Local Stories Published Nationally.?
