Edith S. Leary, executive director, Eaton Peabody Consulting Group
Eaton Peabody is the political and lobbying arm of Eaton Peabody law firm, and specializes in referenda campaigns, legislative lobbying, grassroots organization and economic development consulting. Leary has been involved in Maine politics since graduating from Bowdoin College in 1981. Leary worked on the defeated 2000 referendum to legalize physician-assisted suicide and the defeated November 2003 referendum to put
a casino in Sanford. She's presently fighting against the anti-bear hunting question, on the November 2004 ballot. Leary works as campaign manager of Maine's Fish and Wildlife Conservation Council, the coalition opposed to Question 2 on the November ballot.
Patrick O. Murphy, president and founder, Strategic Marketing Services/Pan Atlantic Consultants
Strategic Marketing Services, a New England-based market research and consulting firm founded in 1985, conducts quantitative and qualitative market research for a broad base of regional and national public and private sector clients. Murphy was appointed by President Clinton to serve on the National Advisory Council of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in 1994. He serves on the Maine SBA Advisory Council. He was chairman of the Maine delegation to the White House Conference on Small Business in June 1995. In 2000, Strategic Marketing Services was awarded the SBA's McGillicuddy Award for Business Excellence. Murphy recently served on the transition team of Maine Governor John Baldacci. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in economics from Trinity College, Dublin University, Ireland.

Potholm is the author of four books on Maine politics, the latest of which is This Splendid Game. He has polled on, and participated in, most major elections in Maine since 1972. Some of his corporate and
institutional clients have included L.L. Bean, Cianbro, Key Bank, Champion, The Gap, NYNEX, Union Pacific, Bell South, International Paper, Bangor Savings, Hannaford, Wal-Mart, The Nature Conservancy and a variety of advertising firms from Los Angeles to New York to Portland.
