?To say that he has been one of the primary reasons why the Portland Sea Dogs has been one of the most successful minor league franchises in the country, would be an understatement,? said Jon Paradise, president of MPRC. ?From marketing to communications, this year?s Light Ship Award winner has done it all ? effectively, enthusiastically and credibly.?

Her past involvement in MPRC includes serving as President, Vice President, and chair of five committees. Tarbox has also won numerous awards, including the Lauren Shulman award for excellence in healthcare.

The Bernays Award, established in 1983, is named in honor of the man considered to be the founder of modern public relations.
