Maine Public Relations Council Holds Professional Development Focusing On Essential Elements of Photography & Design

In this slow economy many businesses don’t have the budget to hire outside design professionals, and as a result, many companies are turning to their existing internal staff to take on some new responsibilities. Portland, ME— In this slow economy many businesses don’t have the budget to hire outside design professionals, and as a result, many companies are turning to their existing internal staff to take on some new responsibilities. On Friday, April 24th the Maine Public Relations Council (MPRC) will hold a seminar to help communications professionals learn design and photography basics.

Through MPRC’s monthly educational events and online resources, Maine professionals are continuing to strengthen and develop applicable skills. The April 24th event will be held at the Holiday Inn West in Portland from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with presentations from:

•    John Lamb, Communications Manager, Maine Medical Center
•    Nori Gale, Graphic Design Specialist, Time Warner Cable

As a non-profit professional association committed to its members’ professional growth, MPRC will focus this session on helping attendees gain knowledge in photography, design, and software advice. Participants are encouraged to come to the session with draft design or photography pieces for free professional advice.
