One of the biggest mistakes PR professionals can make is trying to create content that appeals to everyone or content for its own sake. Today, there's a lot of great content in the world that tends to naturally attract an audience, but that doesn't mean it's the best content for your brand or organization.

Defining a target audience is a recognized marketing best practice that PR professionals shouldn't overlook when creating content. To create the best content, you need to understand who you are talking to, what appeals to them and how and where they are engaging with it. Join us and learn from a panel of content and social media experts about how to clearly define your audience, re-focus your content development, and target your audience via the right channels.

Moderated by Amanda O'Brien, Director of Business Development at flyte New Media and Founder of Social Media Breakfast Maine, panelists will include:

  • Hannah Richards, Content Marketing Specialist at Ethos Marketing
  • Trevor Jones, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service at OTT Communications
  • Adam McNally, Content Marketing Manager at Berry Dunn

You will have the opportunity to do a hands-on audience defining exercise and brainstorm content creation ideas with the panelists.

You will learn:

  • Skills to clearly define your audience or buyer personas
  • How to create content that connects benefits to audience needs
  • Tips and tricks on how to create engaging content
